First of all, my name is Ayk.

I run a one-person agency that helps individuals and businesses solve certain problems with web design, development and modern technologies.

Web development, and the digital space in general, can provide the right solution to a variety of problems.

A range of various problems that a web design project can be a right solution for.

Here are a fiew examples:

You might have a different one, but it’s crucial to start with a problem as the precise definition of the problem is the solution itself in disguise. One who successfully solves a problem is the one who has a deep understanding of that problem. That’s the most effective way to solve a problem: find the truth about it.

Truth is effective. It’s the only thing that works. Find the truth about the cause - and the effect will come at its own accord.

Let’s take an example of a business that lacks sales.

The owner decides to invest in a website and marketing to drive their revenue and growth. Without knowing the truth about their problem (lack of sales), investment in a website might be a gamble.

• What if the root cause of lack of sales is not in the website, but lies somewhere else?
• What if the flaw lies in the product itself?
• What if the problem lies in the design?
• What if the problem lies in the leadership?
• What if the problem lies in the founder?

In essence, if you dig deep, you’ll find out that there are no business problems, there are only human problems.

Anyway, let’s say you’ve found out that investing in a website is what you really want. What other truths there are?

• What kind of website do you need
• How can the website benefit my business?
• Can it help my customers?
• Can it generate sales/leads?
• Can SEO help my business drive organic traffic and leads?
• What kind of website do my competitors have?
• Can I have an edge if my website is better regarding concept, design, and performance?
• Can the website return the investment? If yes, when and how much?

Most people don’t ask these questions, they do not seek the truth. Instead, they make assumptions, follow others’ path, borrow playbooks, imitate.

Truth is effective. Untruth is not.

I help discover the truth. Once I find it, I then proceed to craft a solution to create the outcomes that you seek.

I have a broad skillset ranging from examination to design to development.

My past work experience in architectural design helped me to master conceptual, design and visual skills. Love for technology led me to learn development. Longing to see allowed me to understand the truth about the craft, the game, and the reality.

When I lack a certain skill, for instance, language, I invite talented individuals to work with me on a project.

There are 3 major systems that I’ve developed.

1. A system to examine a problem and find the way to produce the desired outcomes.

2. A system to efficiently to conceptualize the insights into content, UX and design.

3. A system to translate the design work into a functioning website.

When I lack a certain skill, for instance, language, I invite talented individuals to work with me on a project.

By utilizing and perfecting these systems, I produce cost- and outcome-effective web design solutions

Cost efficiency lies in the fact that I save a lot of time by cutting away communication that occurs in a traditional team environment, and by optimizing the creative process with abovementioned systems and modern tools, such as Figma, Webflow, Notion and AI.

Project #1 - Fijordo. An outdoor consulting firm from the US.

In this project, I was responsible for every part of it. I started with examination and problem definition, then concept, then content, then design, then visuals, then development, and then handover.

When I first met with the clients, they had no idea what they wanted. They were thinking of building a website by themselves using a tool that does not require a specific design or development skills. It’s not a bad idea, honestly. There are numerous use-cases where it’s the best solution based on the problem. For instance, when a website makes a little to no difference for the individual or a business. However, in their case, upon examination, I found out that a professionally built website can be effective in their situation.

• The website could easily create more value in their customer’s perception.
• The niche was ripe for SEO and content marketing.
• It would serve a foundation for their next step and growth.

The benefits were clear, the client decided to proceed with hiring me to solve their online presence and client acquisition problem. You can read more about the project in this case-study I wrote recently.

Project #2 - Foodness GraciousA food blog with 100k monthly traffic.

In this project, I was responsible for almost every part of it. I started with examination and problem definition, then concept, then content structure, then design, then visuals, then development, and then handover. I had help with copy with this project.

When I first met with the clients, they again had a very vague problem definition. One thing was clear, the website needed a redesign. But everything else, not so much. I helped them to find out what is exactly they want and what is the truth about their situation.

• Redesign the website and create a new branding.
• Migrate the website from WordPress to Webflow for more granular control over design, and easier maintenance and management.
• Focus on performance, revenue and ranking after migration.

Once the objectives and the problems were defined, the established design process started where I delivered the aforementioned scope of work.
